Hi, it’s Larry Stromberg at SCI Phoenix, in Pennsylvania. This is my poem entitled “Home”.
Home
Every day I wake up in prison,
I think of home.
Even decades in the pit,
I dream of home,
Of family, pets, and friends.
I remember home.
I long to be home with my remorseful heart.
Yes, I’m striving hard to make it back home.
May the angels above guide me back home in this life.
But for now, I keep on educating myself,
Planning and working to make it back home someday.
That’s the goal, hopefully someday soon.
To make it back home for good,
To make a difference out in society,
Back home.
