My inmate number is ND7568. The name of this piece is “Political Education.” I am Kenjuan Congo, Jr. calling from a prison camp behind enemy lines.

In issue number 47 of The Movement, I published an article titled “Political Education Needed,” that is on page 13.

Let’s say I plan on fighting you. Well, I’ll teach you how to be non-combative, to cover your face when punched, and, by the way: do not swing back. And when I punch you to the ground, lie in a fetal position. That way, when you’re kicked, it won’t be too bad. And remember: do not fight back.

You may disagree with what I’m teaching, but is it not in my best interest for you not to fight back when I’m assaulting you? This isn’t a physical world, but what about in a social context? Those who wish to oppress, marginalize, and exploit will not educate you on how to put it to an end. It is not in their best interest for you to rise up and challenge them.

Those who rule will not teach the masses on the ways to liberate themselves. In order for us to get freedom, we must politically educate each other, ourselves. For more political education, read The Movement issue number 47, Spring 2022.

This is Kenjuan Congo, Jr. calling from a prison camp behind enemy lines. All power to the people, over and out.
