Trump Dump
By Mumia Abu-Jamal
There are times when events happen that are so stunning, so unexpected,
that they blow us away. This is such a time.
The jury verdict against former President Donald J. Trump of guilty on 34
counts of election interference is, to say the least, utterly surprising.
For most of his life, New York and even Manhattan, was his home and the
site of his ??? rise and expansion. Thus his jurors were, essentially, his
neighbors, and it made no difference whatsoever.
Why the surprise? Because very rich men rarely see the side of the legal
industry that was seen today. It happens, yes, but it is exceedingly rare. And
let’s be honest. Courts don’t usually treat rich folks like poor folks. And of
course, poor folks can’t afford the attorneys that rich people can hire.
Now for the first time in United States history, an American former president
is a convicted felon. Some things change.
With love, not phear, this is Mumia Abu-Jamal.
