Khalfani Malik Khaldun

My name is Khalfani Malik Khaldun. I am calling from Wabash Valley Correctional Facility. This is my cry of support [], in celebration [] for George Floyd; power to the people and all those that are protesting around the world. All eyes are on America today.

I can’t breathe; I can’t breathe; I am George Floyd. I sat in my prison cell watching the police kill yet another black man. Damn, again, them pigs! I can’t breathe; I can’t breathe; I am George Floyd. “Never again” rings true today. The blessing of power of the people has impacted states and cities with anger and justifiable disobedience. I can’t breathe; I can’t breathe. Why are we the only ones dying and standing around crying, while Trump disrespects us and dishonors another murdered young man in inner-city streets?

I can’t breathe; I can’t breathe; I am George Floyd. This is our moment and our time to unify and build a real revolutionary movement, one that is self-sustaining, one that the people can win, and one that can mobilize all the poor masses of people who have been hurting, who have been disrespected, who have been shut out and cut out and not allowed to make those who have been denied medical benefits, mental health benefits, and those that continue to be the victims of this system.

I can’t breathe; I can’t breathe. As long as white supremacy controls our government, we won’t be nonviolent in this situation. We will promote violence, but we will all stand in defense of self-defense. The abolishment of all prisons is necessary because it enforces this government’s wickedness. I can’t breathe; I can’t breathe. Attention []: this is racist America; we have to deal with her or she is going to continue to produce the type of police forces that we see all around this country killing young men and women [], a land that has never been great, full of bigotry and self-hate as well as fear.

We will only get to breathe when we stand up and get off our knees. Rest in paradise, comrade George Floyd, we love you, we love your family, stay strong, [] we are behind you every step of the way. This is brother Khalfani Malik Khaldun signing off, and I hope that these words are accepted and embraced because they were written with love and unity and development and self-determination.
