“Trump, Mad at the World.”

Donald Trump, from the first day he unleashed his venomous campaign for the U.S. presidency, has lashed out at people he considers beneath him. It began, as all now know, targeting Mexicans. It didn’t take too long before others, usually people of color, felt the sting of his venom.

From that day to this, the issue of immigration has been exploited to sow fear in millions. First came the wall, then the monstrous separation of children from their parents which continues to this very day.

Trump has tossed his cabinet members overboard unless they signed on to his malevolent plans. It is a gross power play meant to give sucker and support to the paranoid right. It looks at the majority of the world’s people and shouts as Trump has recently done: “No more. It’s full. We’re full. Sorry!” Sorry? Hardly.

Lady Liberty, standing gloriously in the New York Harbor, should be sailed back to France from which she came, or perhaps more fitting, it should be melted down into metal and molded into a new steel wall. Call it the Wall of Liberty. The plaque welcoming immigrants? Just throw that away. Toss it into the trash. It’s no longer needed.
