Theresa Shoats discusses how the PA DOC has kept her father, HRC co-founder Russell Maroon Shoats in solitary for more than 20 years, along with past and ongoing efforts to push back.

Liz Springer discusses how her grandson Andre Jacobs has been held in solitary for 10 years in retaliation for his jailhouse lawyering, what she has done to help keep him focused and hopeful, and the barbaric practice of the restraint chair, which Andre was strapped to for 12 hours.

Bret Grote discusses Maroon, Andre, and Jerome Coffey, who has been held in solitary for 10 years, along with some of the features of the system of state torture in PA’s solitary units.
