You sow it
He reaps it
You create it
He keeps it
He belongs to a tiny group
That controls world decisions
Of what workers produce
And who will have provisions
He lives at your expense
And like any enslaver
He controls the workplace
But himself performs no labor
He fears and hates unions
Workers united demanding a say
Over job conditions
Benefits and pay
Malcolm X said it
And not just to preach
Show me a capitalist
And I’ll show you a leech
His sole concern
What is marketable
His system of chasing profits
Is for all but him unprofitable
If having the nastiest men
The most selfish in control
Is your idea of progress
You’ve already sold your soul
The modern day enslaver
Forced labor contracts
Small wages with which
The producers must buy back
All the basic things
The goods that they produce
Forced to sell their labor power
For his own personal use
For these goods that you create
The small wage that you pocket
Is far below their real value
At which he sells them and keeps the profit
The capitalist and the worker
Sits on opposite sides
One hoards great wealth
The other struggles to survive
One can’t help
But loathe resent and hate
The capitalist’s greed
His need to feed from every plate
He’ll work you until
The day of your demise
Waste you then replace you
Yet we don’t realize
He has no stops
In pursuit of personal profit
Destroying everything in his wake
Till the workers unite to stop it
For it is you alone
Who together stand to gain
Everything with nothing to lose
Except your binds and chains
