This is Larry Stromberg, SCI Phoenix in Pennsylvania. This is my short play entitled “Abandoned 5000.”

My name is Max Stone. I got a life sentence for a crime I’m very remorseful for. A crime of passion. I’ve been sentenced to a “death by incarceration” prison sentence to the planet Mars, at a prison called Abandoned 5000.

The conditions here are horrendous. Processed food, medical staff very limited. The lice everywhere. The staff are all AI and robotic correctional officers. This is a desperate call I’m making here.

People die here every day. The life span here at Abandoned 5000 is about two years. There’s about 10,000 inmates here, the ones condemned by society. When someone dies here, they just shoot their bodies out into space, and their bodies deteriorate out in space.

I’m pleading for help. I gotta be careful, because they’re watching me. The AI, AI is everywhere here, and the robotic correctional guards, they’re everywhere.

Please, somebody do something. I have no contact with my family at all. I have nothing here. I might even die here soon. In fact, they’re walking by right now I gotta go. Oh, my God, please help.

Please help. This is Max Stone in May 18, 1818, at Abandoned 5000. Please send help. Oh, my God, please help us.
