This poem is called “Agape.” I forgot. Let me introduce myself. Stephen Lynn Nicholson here in Jackson, Michigan. As always, support prisonradio.org, please. Support University of Michigan’s Prisoner Creative Arts Project. This is a poem I wrote some years ago when — I mean Jewish hate is still going on to this day, but it’s always gone on. I wrote this some years ago when it was at a peak level. I call this poem “Agape.”
I apologize for this news,
But those who hate Jews are just fools.
Don’t cast no stones,
Shalom.
But let me reveal some truths to yous.
Nah, I ain’t from the Bronx,
But my hood was the zoo.
These truths I have for yous
Sound more wild than my zoo crew.
But Jesus is a Jew
And is the Moshiach the Jews waited for
Since they were the chosen few.
Moshiach means the Messiah,
The Savior,
Yeshua Hamashiach, if you confused.
He, Yehovah,
That’s God.
Specifically came for the Jews,
His chosen few.
And now me and you too
Get to rule in Yahweh’s kingdom
Because they doubted Him,
Twelve round bouted Him.
Then they beat and shouted Him.
Glass and bone hooks so solid
And nine whips attached to one handle grip
Tore chunks out of Him.
Death shrouded Him,
But death on the cross had to be the outcome
To fulfill the many Jewish prophecies about Him.
So he dragged his own cross,
About 300 pounds, up a small mountain,
The hill of the skull, Golgotha,
Where David’s stone was slung,
killing Goliath, son.
So, then Jesus was stabbed
And hung to mix blood
With the breath in his lungs.
But he chose to do this for us,
Defeating death for us chumps
If we can just trust in His love.
And this account ain’t just from Christians, dum-dum.
Many pagan and Jewish historians
Tell the story of Jesus’s death and resurrection
Like Josephus Flavius.
Jews in the Torah and Old Testament
Represent God’s love for us,
Forgetting God, then sinning,
God kicking them to the curb,
Then He give in and forgive them again,
Round and round with the demanding relations
With His Jewish nation.
So, God gave permanent remission
Of the sins we will be committing
Through Jesus, His Son,
If you’ll believe that He is risen.
So don’t doubt how Jesus forgiving,
Or how Israel is the most pivotal nation,
Though it might be smaller
Than NYC and its harbor.
New Jerusalem’s the key location
In God’s housing market.
He’ll plant His anchor like a farmer
After He finish the war the world started.
Thanks, Heavenly Father, for loving us all
Like we’re Jewish brothers, sisters, and mothers.
L’chaim.
And I ain’t one of the Beastie Boys brothers,
Though I just beasted this subject.
That’s “Agape.”
