Hey, how you guys doing? Well, this is Faluch Bigsby, the author of God Uses Gangsters. Today, I want to talk about prayer and putting out energy into the universe, because I believe energy is what connects all of us.
So, we’ve had a lot of things transpire with a lot of people that I know. So, what I wanted to do this week was put out a blanket prayer for everybody, for everybody to be able to come together and try to unite their energy to make some good things happen for these people. First, we have Valerie and her family. They came upon some hardships where an attorney took some of their money, and basically Valerie is ending up where she’s going to go to jail for 18 months. So we’d like to keep her family safe and keep them up in prayers.
Another good friend of mine had passed away, so that makes two in the matter of a week. The second one passed away from an overdose. His name was Swift, and that was one of the things I wanted to bring up today. I wanted to raise awareness for the overdoses in prison. This is something that we need prayer for, and we need people to look into it, because it’s getting to be really bad in the system. We’re talking one or two deaths every couple months in ODRC just due to drug addiction. I was at Toledo for 60 days before I came to Allen Correctional and within that 60 day time period, there was three major overdoses with two deaths.
The reason why these are such… The reason why this is happening so rapid, and why it’s such an issue, is because drugs are easy to get in and the “toon”, which is liquid fentanyl mixed with bug spray, which is what the guys are smoking now, it gets sprayed on paper, so that something the size of a pack of gum costs $1,000, or can make $1,000 in prison. So. therefore it makes it to where somebody will bring it in, you know, whatever. However the story may go, it doesn’t matter how it gets here, but it gets here and inmates are dying, and we need somebody to send out some prayer, and maybe we could get some programs. Maybe legislation can call to make some changes for drug addiction in the state of Ohio, because we’re dying every day in prison. With that, I wanted to say, this is Faluch Bigsby, and signing off. God bless.
