Today I’m gonna do a original piece, a rap that I wrote titled, “Shattered Dreams on this Earth.”
Watched them [unclear] of words right up off the street,
As if Black Lives Matter stood for nothing,
Like statues that are dead with no heartbeat.
Too many somber faces, gotta mean something
Outside of court, standing under white judgment.
DEI became enemy of this government.
More reason to handcuff vendors over political stance.
Corporate demons possess America so we lack chance.
It’s even a shortage of worldwide peace.
When will wars between humans cease?
When did sovereign rights become a disease?
And my prayer is saying, “No more genocide, please.”
Life wastes in the way on the edge of the desert.
Authentic love for you and me, everything I treasure.
Know what humanity is worth, to see it destroy hurts.
But today’s world leaders, controlled by the devil’s works.
Shattered dreams on this earth, violence leaves us to bleed.
Shattered dreams on this earth. Hate kills our humanity.
Shattered dreams on this earth. Will we ever be free?
Shattered dreams on this earth. Violence leaves us to bleed,
Shattered dreams on this earth. Hate kills our humanity.
Shattered dreams on this earth. Will we ever be free?
Shattered dreams on this earth. Violence leaves us to bleed.
Shattered dreams on this earth. Hate kills our humanity.
Shattered dreams on this earth. Will we ever be free?
