Larry Stromberg

Hi, this is Larry Stromberg, today I’m going to read my poem, “The Story of Franco.”

The Story of Franco

He won’t be missed.
His funeral, a closed casket.
His mother a crack head whore,
His father six feet under.
Never respected his Bible talkin’ grandparents.
Abandoned in a system of foster care,
Raping and broken bones.
His education, the streets.
Franco always talked that bulls**t.
The juvenile badass,
Hell in his eyes packing heat.
His first homicide at the age of twelve.
Sellin’ that crack, enjoying the game.
Conniving with his smooth words,
Conning every lady out of her pants.
They didn’t call him ‘Mr. Quickie’ for nothing.
Over twenty baby mamas,
Never paying a damn dime.
Stabbin’ everybody in the back to gain the whole world.
Tony ‘Scarface’ Montana and, you know,
‘New Jack City’ Brown, his idols.
Gunning down those that cross his name,
His body count, the dozens.
Smokin’ that trash,
Killing his brain cells,
Drunk out of his addictive mind.
Mad Dog 2020 and all cheap wine
Did him justify fine.
And that poor soul,
The devil’s child.
Franco, loved flash,
The women,
The guns,
And the fast life.
Screamin’ out that bulls**t.
Even when they gunned his *ss down to the ground,
At the age of 23.

That was “The Story of Franco.” This is Larry Stromberg SCI Phoenix.
