Peace. This is Knowledge Born God Allah, honorable Darren C. Stanley. Peace to all my listeners. I want the people to know where I’m coming from. For 37 years, I have walked San Quentin’s death row. I lived there in hell on earth and complete torment. Life was a complete stop. Nothing. No life, period. The energy itself was a dead, death accepting energy. The mentalities of individuals stopped seeking life and worthiness and accepted death. Decreasing in growth, suicides five times, two doors away from five, East yard, 57, the cell I occupied. These are the state-sanctioned traumas I carry in my life.
Chains on my waist. Handcuffed hands and feet constantly, takes my mental back through my DNA to our time in chattel slavery. The screams of inmates who wasn’t strong mentally, so that he lost his mind, or the so called image of the tough guy later finding out he wanted to be a sheep and was sweet all the time. Cops harassing, snitching on other cops for keeping humanity alive through conversations. Wars of the races, where your sentence is death, so what do you have to lose? Being shot at with mini 14’s and preservation of life. This is what I’ve been through. And it’s so much more.
A place I went when I was 23 – 59 now. Started when I was 22, Alameda County, North County Jail, Oakland, California, when those claimed to be my family left me for dead, and to them and some in the town, I was and still am. A world of loneliness, heartache and fear for my only child. My suffering is real, so real that I’m still writing my book of life as I speak. This life I just came from hasn’t gotten better, nor has it gotten worse. I still suffer from what is now known in Oakland, Alameda County, as the “good old boy network.” Racism, hatred, fixed cases; to putting all Black men on death row. Nine, to be exact, six at home, now this year.
2023, I was given life without the possibility of parole, and I’m about to give that back because of the Racial Justice Act – a racist DA named Theodore Lansley, who personally hated Blacks, proving these corrupt DAs, lawyers, etc, stole all my life because of the color of my skin. S**t and still living in hell, because I am melanin.
