Join us on Dec. 7th at the Howard Zinn Book Fair

Join Prison Radio at the Howard Zinn Book Fair this weekend!

December 7th, 2025

1125 Valencia Street, The City College of San Francisco, Mission Campus

10AM-12PM

Who births a book? Who gives it blood, sinews, limbs, brain, and spine? Books are born, more often than not, by other books, which light flames in the psyche, passing light to those flung far into the river of time.

Like Murder Inc., Prison Radio was given body by the writing and theorizing of radical prisoners and authors.

Join us this weekend on the Mission campus of the City College of San Francisco as we take inspiration from the legacy of radical historian Howard Zinn. Hear from Stephen Vittoria about the revolutionary power of fiction to expose the ugly truths of American empire in his panel, “Fiction As Revolutionary Narrative.”

Come see our table, where you can pick up a copy of Stephen and Mumia’s magnum opus, Murder Inc. and Beneath the Mountain, in which Jennifer Black and Mumia Abu-Jamal spotlight some of the writing that has lit fires in the psyches of generations of prison activists.

Can’t attend but still interested in picking up a book? Check out our gift guide highlighting some of the essential texts Prison Radio has published over the years.

And consider donating to us this Giving Tuesday. Every donation helps us keep the voices of liberation on the air and grows our movement.

In Solidarity,
