In a recent broadcast from Prison Radio, Christopher asked the question: “How is it that a juvenile who killed a person can go home before one who didn’t?” This is a question of fairness. The same standards that have recently allowed juvenile defendants charged with murder must be applied to everyone charged as a juvenile. Christopher Hill has spent his entire adult life incarcerated by the state of Pennsylvania – it’s time to bring him home.
In a landmark Supreme Court case, Miller v. Alabama, mandatory life sentences without the possibility of parole for juveniles were abolished. However, this ruling does not apply to juveniles who are serving prison terms that are effectively life sentences, as is the case with Christopher’s 30 to 60 years. Join us in raising his voice and advocating for his release.
