This is Christopher Trotter, speaking live from inside the belly of the beast. I’m with all the women of this country right now and I stand united with you. The Supreme Court is poised to strike down Roe v. Wade, a woman’s human right to choose. Just the thought of white conservative justices, along with Uncle Clarence Thomas, to draft such an opinion, is an insult to the women Supreme Court justices that sit on the bench. What they are attempting to do is turn back the hands of time, and reinforce and continue the oppression and dehumanization of women as women. The fact that the right to abortion is under attack and that the human right has increasingly been denied to women in most parts of the country, must be fought today. The assault on Roe v. Wade, a woman’s right to be a human, is an assault on humanity. We should not expect the capitalist-imperialist system to change in its oppression and dehumanization of women, because the system was designed to deny women their human dignity.
We must do more than just vote. We must work and organize the masses of the people to abolish the current system, with revolutionary aims. The oppression of women in this country and throughout the world must be fought today. This is Chris Trotter, inside the belly of the beast. I’m with all the women.
