This is “Assorted Updates.” Today is June 4, 2026.
First and foremost, after a weird interference with my original website at Word Press that required a bunch of security checks that we were not able to manage for some reason, I now have a new website. It’s davidannarelli.substack.com. It is being properly managed by my family, who do have limited power of attorney and have the right to do that on my behalf.
Next update: another interesting piece of interference is that there’s been regular mail interference going on in Haynesville. I haven’t received personal mail in almost four weeks, so if any of you are sending me letters and not getting responses, that’s why. I have outside advocates looking into it, but you know these vile villains. Along the same thing is a gentleman here who’s involved in numerous lawsuits against the Virginia DOC, and has been held for a year past his release date, had his mail interfered with when he sent out bars of soap, which was evidence in one of his lawsuits. When the facility interfered with that, they not only committed a federal crime for interfering with mail that was legal, but they actually committed a crime by interfering with evidence. Then, they gave him an infraction, 100 series, claiming he was stealing it. We know how this retaliation works when people are reporting these people for doing wrong, because I experienced the same thing.
Interestingly, on that same point, the warden and assistant warden at Lawrenceville, who I’ve named previously but won’t name now for fear of retaliation, are no longer the warden and assistant warden at Lawrenceville. We don’t know why they were replaced. The rumors are wild; everything from embezzlement to drug running to the whole thing, and no details have been forthcoming. I am preparing a Freedom of Information Act. What’s interesting is that I had filed a lawsuit against these two people for retaliation against me. They have received not one, but two, court summons and have not shown up. If you or I were to ignore even a single summons, I can assure you the sheriff or a marshal would show up with a warrant for your arrest. They’ve dodged on two, and I’m waiting for an order of default judgment.
Recently, here at Haynesville, one of the medical providers is now facing multiple felony charges, apparently for rape and kidnapping. This goes into the thing I’m always reporting about, the quality of the people that are hired by the Virginia Department of Corrections. Recently, CGL Management Group compiled, at the DOC’s request, a report about the staffing problems. Again, I’ve pointed out that it’s actually overpopulation of prisoners, not understaffing, but CGL management group believes that they’re critically, and in many cases, “dangerously short-staffed.” But they put the problem solely on the Virginia DOC – say it’s not funding, but it’s the lack of the ability to hire, train, and retain any of the staff that they hire. I’m going to point back to what I just reported about the medical provider who’s been taking care of us, by the way, as these are the sorts of people that they hire.
Captives have also not been receiving meds because providers are simply not properly renewing them. For instance, I went to get my chronic care allergy medicine, which I need to breathe the filthy air in these pods, and they told me I had to renew it, which I had to do two months ago, and then three months prior to that, making it ridiculous. Instead of just going refilling it, I have to go through a whole process, the same process over and over and over again. They’re doing this deliberately to cut back on costs to prevent people from getting medicine, but we’re talking about quality of life, and in some cases we’re talking about life-saving medicines, and it’s not very good.
Also, I have an article that I was asked to write for Georgetown Law School, prestigious place. It’s now on their website, and I will get a link to Prison Radio at the earliest possible convenience, and I believe that’s the entirety of my list of assorted updates.
