Hello. It’s Larry Stromberg from SCI Phoenix, in Pennsylvania, and this is my poem entitled “College Behind Bars.”
College Behind Bars
Let me tell you this very humbly,
If incarcerated,
Take advantage of every educational opportunity that’s given.
Going to a university in prison will save your life.
It has for me.
To improve your critical thinking,
Give you a purpose and to learn new things,
Grant you a path of success to expand your mind
Because of a great achievement of going to college behind bars,
By taking on that journey of vast improvement and hard work,
With a college degree for a greater education.
College behind bars,
What a gift.
This is Larry Stromberg, SCI Phoenix, of Pennsylvania. Thank you so much.
