My name is Raymond White in the [inaudible] today is titled, “And I Will Still Be Holding You”.
And I Will Still Be Holding You
This poem speaks to the nature of human time.
The beauty of life and death,
An inevitable cycle of what we are born,
But also exposed to.
Life kneaded into different time chapters.
Death, that never seems to halt the course of our living time
By placing our innumerable souls into other bodies and new ages.
When time begins to wither our faces with age,
And as our existences flow begins to fade,
I will still be holding you.
When the night fall fires of shooting stars
Crashes into the landscapes of this world,
And as every living thing becomes decreased and dark,
Bad seeds sinks the cruise ship of sailing
That attempts to travel into further beautiful shores,
My dear, I will still be holding you forevermore.
Even when the traditions of family, neighborhood walks,
Or lovers holding and kissing each other
Under a sky crystal bridge of 1000 and 1000s of beautiful stars
by pace and numbers as sudden become extinguished,
My love, I will still be holding you.
When Earth chaos begins to evolve
And billions begin to blaze in fires,
And mountains begin to crumble,
And skyscrapers in large cities begin to fall amongt us,
And people’s homes are torn
By the awakening of inevitable disasters,
Taking all of our precious lives away,
I will still be holding you,
Even as the steel iron chains
Are wrapped around my wrist and waist,
And the stress of staring at mountain stone walls
Along with wicked people that attempt to bury my hope
And shatter my soul, left void and alone.
I don’t even look at my own tangled emotions
Beyond the captive controls.
My love, by spirit, my arms will still be holding you forevermore,
Until the sunset falls into a magenta sky,
And when the last eagle flies across the sparkling drift of the ocean,
I will be waiting for you, as I once was here,
With you forever on this island of forest,
A place for my heart he stole, will always hold.
