Steven Nicholson

Steven Nicholson again here in Jackson, Michigan. Just quickly, just, you know, God forgive me if I say anything in this poem, I, you know, that offends you, Lord, but I mean I’m just frustrated with the political system right now, and, you know, in people’s blindness to reality. And so this poem is called “Safety for a Refugee,” as I am incarcerated, but sometimes feel like a refugee in my own country and so I understand what these people feel like out here in the streets. So, you know you don’t usually hear me using any swear words, you might hear a couple swear words in here though, so like I said it was just frustration so here goes this poem now.

A refugee in my own country as I’m held,
Trapped beneath something like a holographically woven
Silk canopy, i.e., MDOC’s penitentiary/slavery system.
Like a coded wormhole,
Protected, but not for our protection.
Trapped by something like a computer system’s data encryption
To keep hackers from getting in.
But ‘they’ have been tricked by ‘them’
And corruption is constantly filtering in.
Is that evaluation reminding you citizens of similar situations
This nation’s sitting in
While many don’t have a pot for pissing in?
Stop giving in to the many forms of trickeration
Destroying our nation.
Kim Jong Un controlling his nation’s population.
Putin scooping from the same reserve,
Perpetrating similar violations over his population.
Maduro, for sure, say no to those within his population
Who oppose his d*ck-splaying manipulation.
And I have serious consternation with Iran
Who can control their people’s plans
By what they program into their media programs.
And that starts with stripping licensing.

Pay attention Americans.
Various control mechanisms are shared;
Maturations amongst these oppressive nations—
Elitist creations to control the little population.
The only little thing I see is the pompous machinations
Of those with shaky mental persuasions.
Can’t take a joke?
Get out the kitchen b**ch and b**ch.
Know that your energy output returns and often burns,
If you can’t take those returns with no concerns.
Whining and crying
‘Cause the crown you wear is fit for a king,
But you just a ding-a-ling
With a little ding-ding
And can’t be happy with God’s creation of things.
So, that king crown that don’t fit you as a b**ch,
It’s breaking your neck
So you lash out at the kids,
Your populous opposition.

Jesus faced opposition.
He forgave them.
Can anyone, and I mean anyone,
Notice the similitudes of aforementioned dudes
Who are really prudes when it comes to me and you,
But will abuse underage youth
When it suits their predatory attitudes?
They aren’t dudes.
An example of a real dude is a good dad.
FYI, I only used that word ’cause it rhymed with similitude,
Which reminds me,
Don’t those lame little boys remind you of Trump
If Epstein took his toys?
I’m not just making noise.
Wake up to the ploys which destroy.
Full disclosure,
This vehement pronouncement was all an effort
To link Trump to the aforementioned dictatorial outfits.
Johnny Cochran articulated, “if the glove don’t fit, you must acquit.” Well Trump, it fits.
About 97%.
And you can’t take the license of a convict,
So, I’ma keep preachin’ and teachin’ like Mandela,
Even if my carceral life gets helter-skelter.
I might be trapped
But I’m also trapped into the channel of wisdom,
Which wins every battle,
So I get my saddle and keep getting back on the horse.
It looks like we’re losing this battle,
But the good Lord always wins the war.
So both sides of the aisle, even the worst of the worst,
Get on the right side of the sword.
And Jesus said he didn’t come to bring peace but a sword.
You can find that in Matthew Chapter 10, verse 34.
You better be ready for war.
