Greetings. This is Sundiata Acoli sending the MOVE 9 solidarity greetings in their 30 year struggle against their unjust incarceration. Not only MOVE 9, but too many other people of color, other poor and progressive people, or political people, are serving long and unjust sentences due to the excesses of the 40 year mass incarceration binge that continues down to today.
Unless this generation stops this mass incarceration binge now— that’s driven by police targeting of communities of color, the poor and of progressive people, we will be bogged down for the next 50 years fighting police murder and mass incarceration, in the same manner that the past generation struggled against slavery for 240 years, and against desegregation and slave wages for 100 years. And now, this generation struggles against police murder and mass incarceration. MOVE is in the forefront of this struggle, along with other political groups and other mass organizations. MOVE and all mass incarcerated prisoners must be free. Free MOVE. Free all political prisoners and prisoners of war. Free all mass incarcerated prisoners. Free them all. Thank you.
