This is Charlie Hugh, better known as Sheik Bilal Abdul Salaam-Bey. I’m currently housed at the Hutchinson Correctional Facility in Hutchinson, Kansas. This piece is just an update on what’s going on with the Conscious Initiative Callout, as well as updates with my college education.
First things first, with the Conscious Initiative. We’ve gotten new books in, such as GED books, and we’ve started doing more classes with the education, which is on Friday nights. Our Friday night class has grown from only 10 to now. We have 35 and most of those that are in the class that are now part of the 35 are studying Spanish. We have a Hispanic brother that’s Navarro that teaches them Spanish; English speaking people how to learn Spanish. And we also have financial literacy, where guys are learning things about the stock market, as well as how to do balance sheets and form their own financial reports when it comes to starting their own business.
And my update as far as my college education, I completed Hustle 2.0 I completed completed it with honors, My report card, my last one was my total score was 986, I had to get out of 1000 points. I got 86 on my Mandos. And the rest of my mission, my mission chapters, were all 90s. They they gave me my certificate about a week ago.
