Mumia Abu-Jamal

Mumia Abu-Jamal: Good morning in America.

Noelle Hanrahan: It’s frightening and terrifying, and, time to step up.

Mumia Abu-Jamal: Yeah, absolutely, you heard about Don Lemon?

Noelle Hanrahan: Yes, I did.

Mumia Abu-Jamal: (Chuckling) They are going straight out of like, the fascist playbook.

Noelle Hanrahan: Reporters in churches.

Mumia Abu-Jamal: Georgia Fort, an independent journalist who streams to some seventy thousand readers, for reporting, for reporting. I love it. I love it. Let it come. Every contradiction has to be resolved.

Noelle Hanrahan: Why do you think they’re pulling this contradiction into the fray?

Mumia Abu-Jamal: You know, Trump is really, I think, at bottom, a very simple man, and I think he thinks with a bully’s consciousness, and, you know, attack any institution that humiliated him, questioned him, or criticized him. I think it’s interesting that they attacked two independent journalists. You know, Lemon’s got resources. I never heard of Georgia Fort until this morning. But, you know, I think they kind of checked them out and said, “Yeah, let’s do it”. And this is a guy who should never have been given the reins of that kind of power, and people are waking up to it now, only now. With love, not fear. This is Mumia Abu-Jamal.
