My name is Jamil Pirant. I’m calling from CIC [Correctional Industrial Complex], Pendleton, Indiana. It’s a piece called “In Love With Life.”
At times, life seems hard, but now, with me having some experience, I know that it’s only gym sessions. The moments to build strength in place is needed most. Weight is only placed on the shoulders who can lift it. I’m at peace with that fitness plan because it’s healthy when my breathing is in place, and my focus is in order. How can I give up on a purpose that be when it’s the one that I’m destined for? Destiny’s right and are divinely placed in the lines that it’s placed in. So when this pen is lifted and the ink has dried, one can only accept that will and submit to it. Anything outside of that will only cause demise of my faith first, and I can’t afford that. So, with my patience, I purchased that seat for the ride that I can only be prepared and be ready for.
What hits me wasn’t intended to miss me, and what missed me wasn’t intended to hit me. All events are governed by preordainment. The safest thing to do is always accept destiny, whether it’s good or whatever one perceives as bad. I accept and submit to the will. Not saying I give in to circumstances, but I have to know how to be at peace when the milk spills, so that I can respectfully locate the tools for its cleaning. I must be solution-based first in all my affairs; I’m working on it. I don’t have it all figured out, but my lessons I learned through these things that life puts me through, whether it’s hard or not. Despite the texture of life when it rubs up on me, I love it.
My advice is, despite the texture of life when it rubs up on you, love it, because feeling is being alive, and life is worth love. Being love, life is to be loved. Love is a savior, and I’m in love with life. I love life. Y’all saw I’m in love with life.
