Krystal Clark

Krystal Clark: Hi everybody, this is Krystal Denise Clark. My inmate number is 435064. I’m in the WHV, the Valley of Death, y’all. I saw — I’m not doing good right now. It’s so hot — I saw the specialist, ID [Infectious Disease] specialist, on Tuesday. Good doctor, good doctor. He looked at my ears. Make a long story short, y’all, I’m not healing. I’m not doing good. He keep on telling them like, “How could she heal being in something that she is allergic to and being exposed to?” Every doctor is telling them this, and they not listening. I have to continue on on the the mold medication. He’ll see me in a couple more months, yet we going to go from there. I’m just not doing good. I went out for my hearing cuz it took my ears, my hearing on my right ear, barely can hear on my left.

I went to see the doctor today. She said she looked at my ears. She said, “When when the last time health care saw you?” When I told her I went and saw the specialist, she went out. She went and looked at his notes. She said, “I’m not touching the ears cuz I don’t want to make them worser.” She said, “I want you to continue the medication to try to, you know, get it healed before I can do anything.” So, I have to sit here barely with no hearing, because the killing doctors in here, Dr. Ellison, the administration, let me go so long with the mold growing in my body and my ears. So, now I have to suffer because they can’t do anything due to an infection that’s in my body and my ears. This is sad, y’all. They are trying to kill me. There’s no, they are trying to kill me. There’s no way to put it. They not trying to help you.

I went over there today, for help. I told them it was so hot. It’s messing with my breathing. I’m short in my breath, I told him. I asked him for a lay-in for one day to get out the heat. He came, Dr. Ellison came, and told me it’s good for me to be in the heat and I need to be like basically staying moving around, doing things, like working out and things. In a hundred and some degrees, he telling a person with chronic asthma, heart conditions, infections, swelled up like this, that I need to be in the heat. So, I couldn’t go eat today because it was too hot for me to go stand in the line. It was racing my heart. [Weeping] I couldn’t breathe. And he wouldn’t help me. And Miss Washington said we got the best medical care. We getting the best treatment. Shame on you, ma’am, cuz that’s a lie. That’s a lie. That’s the case — why is everybody dying in here? Why is we steady dying in here? Death after death after death, if we was getting the best medical care.

These is not doctors. These are murderers. And Ms. Washington, you are a murderer, too. I’m tired of sitting here begging and pleading y’all for help. What is it going to take for me to be the next one, right? That’s what is it going to take for me to be the next one. But I tell you what, you won’t get away with me. If something happened to me, you won’t get away with it. It is disgusting that we have to beg for help. I asked this man for nothing special, just to help me. I wasn’t doing good and still not doing good. You can look at me and see that I’m not doing good. No breathing treatment, no nothing they won’t give me.

Y’all, I’m tired. When the outside specialist couldn’t even help me today cuz my ears was so bad; when the ID specialist telling them that this is serious, that I’m not going to heal in this place. Don’t nobody care? They don’t care. They don’t care, y’all. They don’t care. It’s so hard right now for me. It’s so hard. Y’all know in this — when dealing with a fungus mold the heat make it worse. Oh, I got to pick these and I, I gotta not do this and do that because it’s hard and the swelling in my legs. When I walk, it’s so painful. My head won’t stop hurting.

This is not fair. This is this is wrong. Oh, this is just wrong, and I do not deserve this. I do not deserve this. And then the nurse called me today, the officer gave me the phone, talk to the nurse, you know, to go over there and get a blood pressure check and everything. The officer hurry up and grab wipes, they like, I’m contagious. No, I’m not contagious. You know who contagious? The only thing contagious is y’all damn, y’all damn murderers. Y’all damn murderers. Y’all y’all got to face the fact y’all sitting here just in the same thing that’s killing me, y’all, y’all breathing it in, too. How you blame me for something that y’all did for so long?  All of you’s the murderers, and the governor, shame on you. Shame on you to sit here and see all these deaths, and a woman begging less than a year begging you for help and you can’t do the right thing. You choose to stay silent.

Oh, my god. Day after day, it’s hard for me, and I’m trying. I’m trying, y’all. I’m trying, but it’s really speeding up. My body is like, want to shut down. And I’m fighting it, and I’m fighting it, and fighting it, and talking to myself. “Don’t give up. You can’t give up. Your kids, your grandbabies, your family, people love you out there.” But you just know if something do happen to me here, y’all, I tried. I begged of them. I begged them for help. I begged them, “Let me go get the right care.” I’m not a threat. I won’t hurt nobody. They know I won’t. It’s gonna kill them to do the right thing so I can get help. It’s so disgusting to let me sit here and suffer like this. It’s so disgusting to let me stay here and suffer like this.

You know, I just don’t know what to do no more. I try to get help from everybody. The warden, I tried to talk to her. She said she was coming back to see me. Never did. Everybody just every time you mention Krystal Clark, they run. They don’t talk to me. They neglect me. This is just torture, what they doing to me. This a murder. They some murderers. So I’m just thanking all of you, all of you from Prison Radio station.

I need y’all more than anything right now. Don’t let these murderers kill me. They’re some murderers. Just stand and fight for me. I’d do it for you all, and I love you all, and I appreciate you. But I’m trying to stay strong, y’all. Not, not good right now. Not good. I see my sisters and hear them die, and they could have been saved. This is a shame on them. This is a shame on these people. How they getting away with this? How is Dr. Ellison still here? Fire him! He’s a crooked doctor! He’s a murderer! Fire him! Look what he doing to me. Dr. Ellison, fire him! He should have been gone.
