I’m Assata Shakur. Mumia Abu-Jamal, a husband, father, grandfather, and African-American, lives in the fastest-growing public housing tract in America. For over 15 years, he has been a resident of Pennsylvania’s death row. Whether Mumia Abu-Jamal’s voice will reach the airwaves and the people, and ultimately, whether he lives or dies, will be a measure of the strength of our struggle. The outcome will depend on the depth of our courage and our will to organize.
