“Beyond the Polls.”

In a few days, the roiling elections of 2020 will be history, but what kind of history will it be? No one really knows, for certainty is but a feeling, not a fact.

But what about the polls, you ask? Polls are polls, and 2016 had the same sense of certainty and somewhat similar polls. Thanks in part to the then-director of the FBI James Comey, a news release made just days before the election sent Hillary Clinton campaign into a tail spin. She crashed and burned, leading to the unexpected rise of Trump.

Given the speed and the power of social media, anything can happen in the blink of an eye, so the stage is not yet set. Tomorrow’s script is not yet written. People vote, yes, but it ain’t the vote that matters. It’s the counting, especially in a so-called democracy, for tomorrow belongs to those who will fight the hardest today.
