Hi, this is Mr. Jenkins calling from Corcoran State Prison. Today is December the 16th, 2025.
Christmas is approaching on us next week. The prisoners in Corcoran wish everybody a Happy Christmas and a Happy New Year. Christmas to me, to us, it’s been special to our family, because we are not with our family, personal, but we in our family spirits. And I know that Christmas is a time for loved ones and everybody to get together and share what they wanted to share with and love each other and be, to be for each other. But in the prison, we do that here, we kind of comfort people that you know, feel bad, feel sad, wish that they was there with they family. Some of us kind of been here a long time, and we are used to it.
You know, we acknowledge and we understand that, you know, that, the reason why we’re not there. And we always feel that it’s nobody fault but ours, and we wish and hope that many people that’s out there enjoy the holidays. Don’t get yourself in trouble. Don’t get yourself caught up where you get, where you do be away from your family, your loved one because of the action that you’ve taken. Be positive, not negative. Be truthful to your loved ones in Christmas, be truthful to [unclear]. Spend time with your kids and you have never spent- but this is the time to spend with your family, your kids, your mom, your dad, whoever you are with, and show them the love and the care that you have for ’em. You should do it every day, but this is a special day that we really get together.
It’s nothing negative pertaining Christmas. It’s just that we take Christmas for granted sometimes. We don’t appreciate what we have or what people do for us. But this is the time to do that. We’re approaching a New Year, 2026, and this year going to bring good things to everybody that really, truly believe it, and really, truly are going for it. Go for your goals. Make sure that you do the right thing, make sure that you love and honor and treat people the way you want to be treated for this year coming up, this is going to be a special year. This is going to be a year where a lot of young men in prison go home to their family, and a lot of people are, you know, going to be blessed. So with that, I want to say this is Mr. Jenkins calling from Corcoran State Prison.
