Hi, this is Raymond Jenkins from Corcoran State Prison, March 28, 2024. I want to say good evening, well it’s still morning, but I’m gonna say good evening.
I’m talking today, want to wish everybody a Happy Easter in the prison system and around the world. And hope that the Easter eve out there be something that, you know y’all are looking forward to this Sunday. And you know and be enjoying the March Madness that started this weekend, last weekend will continue.
My topic is, be safe out there, to make sure that you protect your children and you make sure that the children is safe doin’ the Easter egg hunt, you know all that good stuff in a way they go doin’ Easter. Make sure that the drivers that’s out there that look, make sure that you look carefully and drive carefully for the kids out there and people out there. And make sure that you also have a good, blessed Easter.
Slow down on the drinkin’. And don’t drink too much if you don’t have to. Don’t drink and drive, that’s the main thing, and try not to get yourself caught up in the jail system this weekend. And you know, in the justice system. You can have a good time without doing anything silly and stupid.
Think smarter. Always use your brain constantly and always think before you act. And make sure that you act, you know, the positive stuff. Because this is an enjoyment for, you know, children — Easter — and we take advantage of grownups, we take advantage of that. It’s not for us, it’s for the children. And then we can enjoy it to and celebrate. So, my thing is to celebrate with your family and your friends, and be careful out there.
You know, in here in the prison system, we don’t do too much on the Easter thing. We don’t celebrate. Most of the guys, so they contact they family and wish they family happy Easter. We doesn’t do too much towards with each other on holidays like that. But we do appreciate that, you know, Easter, you know, happened here and that’s another closer to home. You know, another year Easter, so a lot of us look forward to these holidays because it takes time off and then we know we gettin’ closer to the home and closer to our loved one.
So, I am going to be talking about a lot of issues, starting next week starting in April, you know, starting next Thursday. I’m gonna be talking about different issues pertaining to the prison system, you know, and next week, we’ll be talking about what we call [unintelligible] The Little Engine that Could? Well, we’re gonna say The Little Brain that Could, and that’s my topic. And then I’m going to discuss the reason why I call that.
So with that, I wanted to say Mr. Jenkins, if you have any feedback on that, my number — I will give you my CDC numbers — BM 4522 Mr. Jenkins 4B-3R-C-58, PO Box 3481. Corcoran, California 93212. And you can reach me on that.
You also go on GettingOut.com, and you can text. We have tablets and you can open up account and be able to text me, and I will be able to text you back if you need, if you want a little information pertainin’ what I’m doing. And the reason why I love doing the broadcast is because I have a lot of issues that need to be addressed pertaining to inside the prison system. So, I’m going to try to make it clear and try to speak more clearly, so that way you can understand, and the issues and what I’m saying.
With that I appreciate you. Allow me to come to your home and listen to me. Thank you and I’ll talk to you next Thursday. Have a blessed day. Bye-bye.
