Raymond Eugene Jenkins

Good evening, and I hope you having a good spring vacation. The name of this one is called “A Mind is a Terrible Thing To [Waste]” and the reason why I’m speaking on that is because in the prison system, we have a lot of young prisoners that come into the prison that wasting time on stupidity, and they mind is set on stupidity, all kinds of what we call unnecessary stuff, but it’s never focused on positive and being successful. They mind is focus on drama, stuff that doesn’t mean anything that can help them ever never come back into the prison system, a goal of going out. And we have easy people to influence on they mind; that is a mind is triggered. So, what we trying to do is bring a solution to these problems that your mind is a strong tool.

You able to think positive. What do you need to think positive? How can you stop thinking negative and most focus on progress. You know, we always say drugs is the key of people not thinking right. But it’s more than drugs. It’s more than alcohol. It’s more than that. Your brain, you know, only function how you want it to function, and if you have stupidity, and if you listen to drama and garbage, then that’s what your brain picks up. You can’t pick yourself until you brain be able to function and fix you.

You know, you should be able to think for yourself. Never let somebody else think for you. Never let nobody else use your brain for you. Your brain is just for you. Your brain is the only brain you have. You only have one, and don’t abuse your brain. It’s your brain, but don’t abuse it. Make, you know, in the prison system we doesn’t have the tools a lot, don’t have the tools to be able to function like that. So, we need to be able to a society out there to be able to speak on some of the issues in the prison system so the prison system be able to have the tool of the rehabilitation that the CDCR rehabilitation, that’s what that ‘R’ is for. So currently, apparently, that ‘R’ is not for that, on certain occasions.

Do we need more people involved in the prison system? Yes, we need the community. We need the lawmakers. We need the politician, anything, anybody that believe in the justice system can be reformed for the prisoners inside the prison. We definitely need that. I’m asking you to be able to express opinion, call the lawmakers, the politician, whatever you can do to make sure that your loved one gets a proper education in the prison system and be able to come out and be function. So, with that, this is Mr. Jenkins, Corcoran State prison, once again, you can get in contact. I like to have feedback. My number is BM4522 4B3R-C-58, PO Box 3481, Corcoran, California, 93212. [unclear] speak to you next week pertaining the voting rights, the Voting Rights bill that we propose for prisoners to be able to vote inside the prison system. Thank you and have a nice day.
