Sheik Bilal Abdul Salaam-Bey

This is Sheik Bilal Abdul-Salaam Bey at the Hutchinson Correctional Facility in Hutchinson, KS.

This is a poem called “Guidance,” using my revolutionary poetry name TRIP, also known as True Revolutionary In Power.

I came a long ways for being a mental slave to walk in the righteous path that I have paved, leaving behind a legacy as good of a early grave. Allah made me, and he is good and he is great. With him by my side, I know I’ll be straight. During the time of war, I won’t hesitate. I’ll stand up like a man and face my own fate. I made it through the trenches, so it’s never late. Open up your mind and choose to stay awake. Stay solid, young brothers, and never break. You have to be true with every breath you take.

This one is dedicated to my wife, Naima. It’s called, “Naima, Beautiful Moorish Queen.”

The woman of my dreams, you and I together make a good team. When I see you smile, when I see you, I smile. You are the rock on which I lean. You are more than what can be seen. You are a mother, leader, and all the between, and for your love, I’ll be a thane, Naima, my beautiful [inaudible] queen.

We are the empire, and I am your king.

Once again, this is Bilal Abdul-Salaam Bey, also known as Charley Hughes. Those wishing to reach me may do so by writing Charley Hughes 96576, Hutchinson Correctional Facility, PO Box 1568, Hutchinson, KS, 67504. Thank you for your time, effort, and energy.
