Prison Radio
Kenjuan Congo Jr.

This is Kenjuan Congo, Jr. The title of this piece is “I Got Commuted.”

I finally got commuted. I just want to take this time to thank Prison Radio for giving me a voice and a platform not only to express myself but continue to struggle for liberation and for giving others the same opportunity as well. Without Prison Radio, I wouldn’t even know where I’d be at right now. It had an instrumental role in getting me home.

I want to give a special thanks to Noelle, because even when I was going through things, she was always there for me talking to me and giving me encouragement. And I want to thank all the volunteers and people who pick up the phones and other people behind the scenes putting in the hard work as well. I will continue to struggle for liberation for oppressed people everywhere. I just want to take the time to let y’all know Prison Radio will always have a special place in my heart, and I support Prison Radio.

I’ll be out soon, and I’m ready to get busy. Thank y’all. All power to the people.
