This is Kenjuan Congo, Jr. calling from a prison camp behind enemy lines.

Pennsylvania Senate Bill 135 is parole eligibility for those who are serving life sentences, and of course, people are going to scream “Wait, wait, keep them locked up for public safety!” That’s because of the media, not the truth. The truth is that countries like Norway and Germany, most imprisonment does not exceed 20 years including for those convicted of murder, and their approach comes at no expense to public safety. In addition, researchers give us overwhelming evidence that people actually age out of crime.

I also question the so-called danger of these individuals when I look at sentencing guidelines. Only the murderer gets life without parole sentences, to accomplish this, who did not know, in accidental deaths. Overall life without parole sentences is not only another failure, it’s also grossly unjust. To support Pennsylvania 135, support CADBI, which stands for a Coalition to Abolish Death by Incarceration, support the HRC which stands for Human Rights Coalition, support the ALC Abolitionist Law center. This is Kenjuan Congo, Jr. calling from a prison camp behind enemy lines. Thank you. All Power to the People.
