My inmate number is NC7568. I’m calling from SCI Chester. The title of this piece is “Impersonating Me.” This is Kenjuan Congo Jr., calling from a prison camp behind enemy lines.
I’m pretty sure a lot of us have been impersonated. When you’re in prison, you’re even more of a target. I’m experiencing this firsthand. People on the street, and even other prisoners, can impersonate me. They can also contact people I do not even know. This is done in a number of ways, since as a public figure, my information is open to all.
By no means am I the exception. This happens to a number of people that you know. They work extremely hard, while holding themselves to a very high standard, only to be impersonated. It’s frustrating for you to watch them climb while people are constantly dragging them down, yet they continue to climb and climb and climb. I can relate to them. I can relate to you.
My official information is on Prison Radio. All you have to do is search my name. I thank Prison Radio for helping to protect my identity. If you receive a suspicious correspondence from me, even if my inmate numbers is used, please reach out to me. And remember, you can impersonate a revolutionary, but you cannot impersonate a revolution.
This is Kenjuan Congo Jr., calling from a prison camp behind enemy lines. Thank you. All power to the people.
