On May 3rd, 2021, Johnny Wetzel, Secretary of Corrections in the Pennsylvania Department of Corrections, sent out a bulletin to all PADOC prisoners which reads: “Following a thorough safety review, the US FDA and the CDC have determined that the recommended pause regarding the use of the Johnson and Johnson Jensen COVID-19 vaccine in the U.S. should be lifted, and the use of the vaccine should resume. Both agencies have confidence that this vaccine is safe and effective in preventing COVID-19 with the benefits greatly outweigh the risk of any side effects. After thorough review of all data available, the department is resuming vaccines today, May 3rd, 2021.”

Mr. Wetzel, then states that reports of adverse events following the use of the Jensen COVID-19 vaccine suggest increased risk of thrombosis or formation of blood clots, involving large blood vessels of the abdomen and the veins of the lower extremities, combined with a low number of platelets in the blood. Platelets help blood clots by clumping and forming plugs in blood vessel injuries which stops bleeding.”

Then he further claims most cases of such that were reported after receiving the Jensen vaccine have occurred in females ages 18 through 49 years of age. And based on current available evidence, the relationship between these blood clots and the low number of platelets in the blood is conceivable but rare.

However, out of an abundance of caution, the PADOC will continue to monitor reported side effects/adverse reactions to include any of these cases with or without association. Nothing has mentioned a prisoner, Mr. Smith, who died here at SCI Phoenix on April 8th, 2021, after being vaccinated who was a male and over the age of 49.

Why wasn’t his death reported and thoroughly investigated, Mr. Johnny Wetzel? Are prisoners here an experiemntal tool for the Johnson and Johnson Jensen vaccine? Black lives and prisoner lives seems not to matter, now add that to Johnson and Johnson Jensen vaccine fact sheet.
