Dear friends, forgive me if I don’t mention everybody’s name because, guess what? I’m 71 y’all [laughs]. I can’t remember everything. But I know Martha’s there, also Marcus, old friend, all of you, Jules, right? All of you there, I thank you all for supporting the noble efforts of the Abolitionist Law Center [ALC] and the work they do to try to bring freedom to those in cages. What you’re doing with raising money for ALC is heroic and tremendous. ALC has been a breath of fresh air, you know, in a state choking on smog [laughs], and I should say, in darkness and rain, at least in this part of the state. What you’re doing is heroic and noble and right, and it should be supported. And I appreciate all of you for being there and also for what you do, for keeping ALC, their generous heart beating, and working, and trying to transform the leviathan we call mass incarceration. Thank you for what you’re doing. I appreciate you. I salute you. With love not fear this is Mumia Abu-Jamal.
