“Oklahoma Police Officer Raped Nineteen Black Women and News Media Remained Silent,” by Shakaboona

Daniel Holzclaw is the name of an Oklahoma police officer turned serial rapist, whose crime should be the topic of discussion on every news network in America. But, his case was deemed not newsworthy by CNN, HLN, MSNBC, and Fox News.  Instead, these news networks and others throughout America chose to remain silent about the arrest, trial, and conviction of a police officer misusing his authority and badge to rape nineteen Black women.

Police officer Daniel Holzclaw’s crimes against women finally came to light when he stopped a fifty-seven year old grandmother in her car without probable cause while on her way home. Officer Holtzclaw ordered her to get out of the car and placed her in the back of his police car. There, he forced her to perform oral sex on him. After Officer Holzclaw raped the woman, he allowed her to go free.  Immediately thereafter the victimized grandmother mustered up enough courage to go directly to the police station and report the rape committed by one of their fellow police officers.

Surprisingly, a criminal investigation was opened on officer Daniel Holzclaw, which led to his arrest. During the criminal investigation against officer Holtzclaw, many other women got the courage to report that police officer Daniel Holzclaw had raped them too. A fellow policewoman reported officer Holtzclaw had raped her while on police duty. A teenage girl reported that officer Holtclaw raped her on the front porch of her mother’s home, and a housewife reported that officer Holtclaw came to her home on several occasions and sodomized her.

Officer Daniel Holtclaw mostly targeted Black women whom could be intimidated by fear of arrest or death by him. Holzclaw repeatedly raped several of the women whom happened to be on probation or parole and made them his personal sex slaves. Irrefutable DNA evidence and the police car’s GPS tracking system link officer Holzclaw to the nineteen women that reported being raped by him.

Daniel Holzclaw was recently convicted by a jury trial of  fifteen counts of rape and faces up to two hundread years in prison for his crimes.  All of that being said, we must ask those news networks: Why did they remain silent by not reporting on this major story of a police officer sexually preying on women in the Black community? What? A police officer misusing his police powers to commit serial rape of nineteen Black women isn’t newsworthy?

The news network’s silence on  Daniel Holtzclaw’s story is yet another glaring example of how Black lives don’t matter, and of how the news networks chooses the side of the police in every incident. I guess such horrific crimes of serial rape of women is only relevant and newsworthy to be on every major news network when it’s Bill Cosby.  From the belly of the beast at Prison Radio, I am Shakaboona. Thank you for listening.
