Hey, what’s up, everybody? This is Antoine Walker, Inmate Number KG7791 calling out SCI Greene in Waynesburg, Pennsylvania. I’m calling to do a follow up to an inmate abuse excessive force recording I did last week. I’m now reporting to y’all this, specifically the incident that I experienced. And if y’all don’t mind, y’all can grab your pen and paper or your phone and take down the name and number I’m going to give you at the end of this.
But I’m calling, I said, to share specifically what occurred with me. So, on July 9, 2024 at approximately 4:45 to 5 o’clock PM during SERT Team Shakedown here on LA Unit at SCI Greene, and I was standing in between 28 and 27 cell on the IMU on the top tier handcuffed in boxers and shower shoes. At this time, another prisoner, the one I recorded about last week, G—, was on the ground being assaulted by more than 15 guards, and randomly, a guard came behind me as I was handcuffed and started ramming my head into a wall.
As a result, my glasses are broken. I had a lump developed on my forehead. My equilibrium felt off and my neck was hurt. I tried to report this to medical, the unit team and staff, and my medical injuries were never documented. So, now I’m pushing my pen. I’m filing grievances, speaking with my legal team to report the retaliation aspect of it, but also I will be moving forward in the future about it with excessive force inmate abuse claims.
So now, what I’m asking any of y’all out there that can help and are willing to help, is to call the Bureau of Investigations Intelligence director, James Barnacle. He’s the head of the Bureau investigation intelligence of the PADOC (Pennsylvania Department of Corrections). That number is 717-728-2029, and basically say that you want to report a case of inmate abuse and excessive force. Again, the reason that this is classified as inmate abuse of excessive force, because not only was I handcuffed, but I wasn’t in violation of any rules or being disruptive or combative anyway.
I was handcuffed, in shower shoes facing the wall, when a CO randomly came and started ramming my head into the wall, and his words that let me know it’s personally retaliatory, because he told me specifically, “F your glasses.” And I’m filing a class action on that. So, now I’m trying to proceed with holding this guard responsible and identifying them as again, I don’t know who the guard was, because the SERT Team guards don’t wear their name tags on their shirts, and they’re not from the prison. They’re from, like different prisons throughout the PADOC.
So, if y’all can call in and report this case of inmate abuse and excessive force, but also if y’all can make inquiries into how I would go about, or how anyone would go about, identifying the person responsible.
