Prison Radio
Raymond Eugene Jenkins

Hi. This is Raymond Jenkins. Now, first, I want to say, I hope everybody had a happy Fourth of July and that it was safe and enjoyed your family.  Now, the topic today would be Eyes on the Prize, and what that means is a lot of prizes Out there we take eyes on the prize as trophy, like, my Eyes on the Prize, winning the lottery, getting a my big house, a better job financially.

But in the prison system, the Eyes on the Prize is being released. People that go to the board and get suitable to go home, re-sentenced to go home. Eyes on the prize is I bettered myself while I was in prison. I’m no longer a threat to society. I’m no longer a threat to myself or my family. I’m able to walk up, walk with my head up on up high.

The Eyes on the Prize is, “Hey, I made it. I made it out out of 30 years, out of 40 years, 27 years.” You know, Eyes on the Prize is a big thing in here, and a lot of young men doesn’t see it that way. That they have not been taught inside, what is the Eyes on the Prize. Because they doesn’t speak on it.

Well here, I do what I can to speak on Eyes on the Prize, because it’s a different thing than having a prize. Your prize is your family. Your prize is the friend that you can count on. Your prize is the when we say, the Lord that we believe in. The eyes of the prize is accepting that what I did, I corrected it. Now I’m no longer that person. My eyes are the prizes.

The main thing is I am free of everything that I know, that I did to live in this situation, to be away from my family. We have to be more careful, we have to be more responsible, we have to be more loving to each other, one another, and to hopefully, that we have learned the value of our life and other life, you know, without judging people that we does not know. We go to media judge and we feed on the media.  Sometimes that’s not who we are, because we know that the media do things to get rated. We do things to get attention, and that’s a different thing. So to order to get a good attention, you have to be yourself.

With that. This is Mr. Jenkins from Corcoran State Prison. You can hear me and reach any information on me and go to prisonradio.org, and I’m linked to Mr. Jenkins broadcast. And you should be able to hear me.

Once again. I will be here next Thursday. So I’m going to leave you as Mr. Jenkins. BM4522, 4B-3R-C-45. P.O. Box 3481, Corcoran, California 93212, and nice talking to you. And we’ll be looking forward to talking to you next week where I’m going to say “When is enough is enough?” That’s a topic for next Thursday, Thursday. God bless you, and everybody be there. Be safe. Thank you.
