Hi, this is Mr. Jenkins. Today is the seventh of August, 2024.
Today’s topic is going to be “No Doors Shut Too Tight”. That’s “No Door Are Shut Too Tight”. And the reason why I picked this one is because in the prison system the doors is shut tighter for we can’t, you know, where you can’t escape, you can’t, you have to follow direction and all that. Out there on the street, the doors are shut half as tight and closed what we call tight, because we able to do all kinds of stuff that we want to do it’s just going out, out the door.
In the prison system, the doors are shut because of what’s in our mind. Now, when I say that, our brain just do not have to be shut tight. What we do, we close our brain, so shut it that we only take information in that we don’t want, but we take it anyway. The information that we should take, we close our brain so tight that the stuff can’t go in. But we are leave it leaking open for negative stuff. And when we out there, we tend to leave it open for all kinds of negative and then we take in a little positive, but the negative oversees it, and it closes. The negative close against the positive. Your positive is the brain, where we say we have two sides.
The positive side, it should overwhelm the negative side. And in the prison system, we think about negative stuff a lot, about what we did when we was out there, and we thrive on it sometime. A lot of guys thrive on the negative stuff that they did out there. The positive side we don’t talk too much about it unless it’s about us. Out there in society, they talks about majority are positive, but then they talks about the negative, about what somebody did next door, or what my neighbor did, what my neighbor borrow, what my neighbor driving, what my neighbor cook tonight. We so focused on others. What we don’t focus on ourselves shutting our door too tight. When you shut your door too tight on negative stuff, we always leave it open for more negative than shutting it tight for a number of positive. So my point is, leave your brain open for positive. Shut it for negative.
Any negative person come towards you, shut it. You’re the only one to have the key to that door, and that’s your brain. You the only to have the key to it. You only one who have access to it. Don’t allow somebody to have access to your brain and have access to your key, because the only way they can if you give it to them. So be always understand that you have the key to your success. Nobody else have it, but you. Be positive. Don’t think negative. Think positive. And the people around you will think positive. Any negative person, you say, hey, my brain is shut. My doors is shut for negative. So I refuse to open it up for that.
So with that, always be good to others, always be good to yourself. Always be good. Know how to speak to people, how to approach people, and how and understand other people than yourself. And always love yourself and love your family, because your family helps you a lot in different times and different needs. So with that, this is Mr. Jenkins calling from Corcoran State Prison.
