Call and Demand Clemency for Krystal Clark! End Abuse at WHV!

On June 30th, flood the phones for Krystal Clark and the women incarcerated at WHV.

From May 14 to June 6th, three women, Khaira Howard, Rebecca Fackler, and Ashley Hoath, died at Women’s Huron Valley. Krystal Clark, continues to suffer from severe health issues as a result of medical neglect perpetuated by the staff in WHV. She has suffered severe neurological damage due to years to untreated infection and exposure to mold.

I do not deserve to die. Look at the ladies in here, dying every day. Governor, you have the power. You have the power to fix this.”

Krystal’s testimony, and that of the other women at WHV, has shone a light on Women’s Huron Valley. Their testimony was the basis for a hearing of the Michigan legislature in February.

A special collection of commentaries produced by Prison Radio also formed the basis for a report by researcher J’Mauri Jackson, which traced the intersection of disability and incarceration at Women’s Huron Valley.

And a letter from Michigan Rep. Debbie Dingell urged the Michigan Department of Corrections to make public reports relating to health and safety concerns at Women’s Huron Valley.

Now, a growing list of 28 organizations are calling for freedom for Krystal Clark, and solidarity with the women of WHV.
