“Trump indicted.”
The news that former U.S. president Donald J. Trump was indicted by New York grand jury related to the Stormy Daniels controversy hit like a thunderclap. Few saw it coming, especially after earlier news accounts reported the grand jury would essentially take the month of April off—but what a difference a day makes.
Once again, Trump made history again. Formerly the first president to be twice impeached, now becomes [first?] president ever indicted criminally. Who knows what will happen? No one does.
Doubtless his lawyers will mount a serious challenge to the statute of limitations and other legal theory, so stay tuned, because it ain’t over at indictment, because indictment is just a charge. We shall see.
With love, not phear, this is Mumia Abu-Jamal.
