Raymond Eugene Jenkins

Hi. This is Mr. Jenkins from Corcoran State Prison. Today is October 10, 2024. My topic will be, ‘When do we feel we are worth it, but do not act on it, deserve it? Okay, and the reason why I picked this topic is because we feel like we worry in here. A lot of young men and women don’t feel that they worry going back out in society. They feel that they life is, it’s not good. They feel that they not somebody, they not you know, they feel like they nobody.

And they feel that, why should I go back out? For what reason? In here, a lot of young men and women feel that they life ended once they come to the prison system. So, out there in society, we don’t feel like that. Sometimes we feel that if our life is not going the right direction, we feel that we not, how we put it? We’re not somebody and we’re not special.  But in here, if your life’s not going as planned that you want it to go, a lot of prisoners let theyselves down. They think suicide thoughts. They feel my family doesn’t care about me, and that’s not to a certain degree, to a certain extent. So, my suggestion is this, always feel good that you are worried, always feel good that you are, understand that who you are, always be sure to know things that can help you better than what things that can’t, when you feel that you not worried.

I mean anything you feel that you’re not, how we put it, sometimes you don’t even know why you deserve and when I hear people say that, it’s kind of above a little bit, because you are special. You are somebody that should know why you on this earth, and there’s a reason why you on this earth, not a bad thing, but good thing. So, always think about that. Always be there. Always be there for yourself, or others, your family, and so on and so on. And that way you won’t feel like you’re not anything, you know, and I hear that. So with that, be, you know, just be kind to yourself. Be kind to other people. Know what you want, know on what you want to do in life. Being in the prison system, we work on that a lot. A lot of guys do work on it, a lot of guys don’t. And same way as females. We don’t talk about females a lot in the prison system, but they go through the same thing.  But with that, I’m going to leave you with that. And this is Mr. Jenkins calling from Corcoran prison. You can listen to a lot of my broadcasts, comments, on Prisonradio.org. You can send me a letter at:
