Greetings!
The kids are here.
They say student repression. We say connection.
They say fascism. We say liberation.
They build walls. We build communities.
They demand silence. We raise our voices.
They sow fear. We organize for freedom.
Prison Radio just welcomed a new cohort of 30 summer interns!
At a moment when campuses are under attack, dissent is being criminalized, and fear is too often used as a political weapon, investing in young organizers is an act of hope.
Every summer we put those words into action.
The Summer ’26 cohort is joining a long tradition of young people who refuse to accept the world as it is. Over the coming weeks, they’ll learn from movement veterans, collaborate with our staff, and help amplify the voices of incarcerated journalists, artists, and freedom fighters whose insights are too often excluded from public conversation.
“Each generation must, out of relative obscurity, discover its mission, fulfill it, or betray it.” – Frantz Fanon
