This is Spoon Jackson calling from Solano State Prison. And I’ve been on Prison Radio a few times and I’m back. But unfortunately, still incarcerated. I’m working on a lot of new projects and one is called Dancing Rabbits. Rabbits of Realness. And I’m doing it with a young friend named SaraMarie Bottaro. And we’re going to do some scenes and try to get them out into the world.
I didn’t know what scenes were, she had to enlighten me on that. And another thing I’m doing is writing a book, writing a couple of books, and I want to write, you know, I need to get in touch with some people who are Indian, from India, and some Asian people too, and want to go back and forth with wisdom and emails and letters, whatever would fit. And I can guarantee you that, you know if you a artist yourself, that we could both come up with something true in our exchanges.
And I have this poem called Computer Lady. And if you have any contact with people in prison, they got GTL (Global Telecommunications Link), always like to butt into your phone calls with this computer lady. I read this poem to people overseas, and they like, even like it over there. They understand the dilemma, and she’ll be interrupting any second now. So I’ll start the poem.
It’s called Computer Lady.
Computer Woman wants to be treated like a lady,
But her voice is so cold, rude and shady.
She will cut into your…
And she will cut you off in the middle of grieving,
In the middle of loving,
In the middle of leaving.

Unfilling and uncaring.
No human in your voice,
