Biography

Dontie Mitchell is free after being incarcerated at Great Meadow Correctional Facility. He is the founder of UFD, a prison fraternity which encourages and preaches self-development and community, which has been especially helpful as a support network amidst the COVID-19 outbreak thanks to Dontie’s courageous leadership. In addition to spearheading UFD, he is part of several other initiatives including the Inmate Liaison Committee where Dontie works with administrators in the correctional facility to address issues facing prisoners.
